American-Made Companies We Love to Support in the Home Industry
We all love the thought of American-made, but have you taken the time to really get to know about who those companies are, and how supporting Made in the USA manufacturing impacts our economical future? Over this past year, I have made it a point to support these manufacturers through my Interior Design firm as much as possible. While some imports add a unique perspective to the design, especially if they're antiques, we have many manufacturers right here in the US that can offer you the style, quality, and uncommon gems we like to think of when we design our interiors.
I'll start with the top 5 companies I'd like you to consider when designing your home. Our US based home good manufacturers have some of the most incredible work and craftsmanship, you might just be surprised what you can find on a local level.
Revolution Fabrics
Fabric may not be the first item you think of when you want to focus on American-made for your home. However, in the design industry we learn very early that the origin of the fibers we're using has huge impact on quality, consistency, and performance.

One of our go-to's for performance needed in homes with busy family and entertaining lifestyles is Revolution Fabrics. Owned by STI Fabrics, this manufacturer is a family-owned textile mill located in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Revolution has become one of the most in-demand performance fabrics in the home furnishings industry. Revolution is 100% made in the United States and contains no PFC chemicals.
In our designs, we use Revolution Fabrics for everything from upholstery to drapes. It is extremely family and pet friendly, and comes in a huge variety of patterns and textures. The reliability of this company makes it one of our favorite go to’s when designing your space.
Peter Fasano, Ltd.
Located in Great Barrington, MA, Peter Fasano started a small, hand-painted fabrics line in his home in New York City in the 1970s. His unique and colorful designs have exploded in popularity throughout the home industry. The company has now grown into several design and production teams that deliver high-quality fabrics, wallcoverings, and even outdoor fabrics.

Cisco is also a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishing Council (SFC). They ethically source all of their materials from FSC-certified wood to water-based stains and natural fabrics. This line is great for the environment as a whole, as well as the health environment of your home. We offer Cisco often to our homeowners that are allergen sensitive.
