Desert Mountain Modern Remodel

This second home in Desert Mountain was purchased by a couple looking for a refined, relaxed retreat that fits their lifestyle. They wanted a home that felt elevated but livable, a place for everyday comfort, wine dinners with friends, and easy weekends with children and grandchildren.

We took inspiration from the desert palette and kept everything calm, warm, and clean lined. In the kitchen, we paired light wood cabinetry with a crisp white perimeter and a sculptural matte black hood to create contrast without heaviness. Open shelving and glass-front uppers keep it airy and collected, while warm brass accents add just enough polish. The dining area was designed to feel intimate but unfussy with a grounded, dark table, soft upholstered seating, and a statement chandelier that reads like jewelry under the wood ceiling.

Throughout the home, texture is incorporated through a stacked-stone wall in the bath, layered textiles, and natural finishes that feel timeless. We styled the open shelving and bar with purpose, built in generous storage, and finished with original art and lighting that bring warmth and personality.
