This kitchen, powder room, and great room were designed as part of a whole-home renovation to support the homeowners’ lifestyle in a way that feels calmer, more comfortable, and still warm and inviting.
Wellness and function guided the design decisions. In the kitchen, we selected induction cooking to reduce combustion-related pollutants and paired it with thoughtfully planned ventilation for everyday comfort. We also layered the lighting to be practical for prep and cooking, while keeping it soft, glare-controlled, and welcoming at the end of the day.
To honor the home’s Mid-Century architecture, we used natural materials with a quiet, grounded feel, including warm woods, expressive stone, and a neutral palette. Panel-ready Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances help maintain clean lines and reduce visual clutter.
Storage was one of the homeowners’ biggest concerns, especially with the larger refrigerator and freezer footprint, the decision to use a full range, and the choice to simplify the corner cabinetry. We solved that by carefully mapping storage needs and adding deeper base cabinets, wider drawers, smarter interior organization, and targeted upper storage where it mattered most. We also refined the island layout so both sinks serve a clear purpose without interrupting prep space or flow.
The result is a high-functioning, wellness-minded home that supports cooking, gathering, and everyday living with beauty, ease, and intention.
